tomorrow should be fun

Well last week I did the unthinkable, I criticized a colleague's class. We have been having this conversation for a couple of years now and every time I say anything I am an evil person personally attacking a poor innocent. I get students in my 200 level classes that don't know what they need to know to be successful in my animation class. I politely ask that a few thing be changed. And ask, and ask again. Others tell her changes need to be made and her response is that "the students like the class the way it is!" I shake my head and send out an email asking what things will need to be changed in the class this time. I send it to everyone because I'm sick of the "when I deal with this I'll have a meeting for everyone to have input" that never happens.

So tomorrow there is a meeting where I will present the remarks I collected. I've also found that she has been going to talk to people privately about hateful me and she has been told they agree with me. Oh this should be fun.

To bed because the meeting is at what to me is oh dark 30.

winter again

The weather beans said it was going to snow last night. It got cold by this morning but no snow.

I spent all day in the underground environs that is our department. I did not see what was happening weather-wise until about a half hour ago. As I came out of the parking ramp big globs of slush fell on my windshield. I pulled up to the exit gate swearing. I turned on my windshield wipers and then turned and swore at the gate which looked to be deciding to eat my card. Looking ahead and hoping that the machine would give me back my card I watched a pair of ducks waddle across the three lane road. I hoped that no one came speeding on the road and do an injury to Mr. & Mrs. Mallard Duck. I finally got my card back but sat blocking outgoing traffic until the ducks were out of the road. My guess is that they had approved of the new landscaping as an appropriate neighborhood to build a house. I wish I could tell them that the city park across the street next to the river might be a better choice but ... the landscaping is nice.

"Take the money (they are not paying faculty) and landscape" is the motto of this school.
