Harvested the last of the basil and made pesto last night. It went into the freezer for some winter night when green is necessary. Always a reminder of warmer weather, pesto.

Raining and chill today. Got my first "will I miss anything if I don't come today" emails from a student. Knowing this student it won't be the last and it is his second time trying to pass this class. Note: I give out a course outline the first day and stick to it in the hopes that this is not a question I have to answer. Which is sort of what I answered but mostly without the snide attitude.

Hope springs eternal!
