windy, with politics

Heard a noise from the bedroom that sounded suspiciously like sleet on the window. The few remaining Rowan berries were being propelled at the window by the 30 mph wind.

The #OccupyWallStreet folks are going to have a hard time holding on to their signs today with this wind. In Lansing the mayor is on the side of protesters, he had port-a-potties delivered yesterday to the park they are occupying.

Until this latest economic mess, Lansing was a pretty nice place. Occasionally a drug related murder but definitely not the usual. In the last year the number of murders and bank robberies has exploded. A teenage employee of the neighborhood KFC was murdered last night in a bungled robbery. WTF, kid working at minimum wage loses his life for a few bucks.

On a different note: I'm avoiding East Lansing as today is the MSU - UMich game. A complete mad house.

Ah, I looked and saw that your alma mater lost. Sorry. I'm more into basketball. I just hate the thousands and thousands that swarm the town. Makes it hard to do anything this weekend. Upside for merchants in town at least.
