winter again

The weather beans said it was going to snow last night. It got cold by this morning but no snow.

I spent all day in the underground environs that is our department. I did not see what was happening weather-wise until about a half hour ago. As I came out of the parking ramp big globs of slush fell on my windshield. I pulled up to the exit gate swearing. I turned on my windshield wipers and then turned and swore at the gate which looked to be deciding to eat my card. Looking ahead and hoping that the machine would give me back my card I watched a pair of ducks waddle across the three lane road. I hoped that no one came speeding on the road and do an injury to Mr. & Mrs. Mallard Duck. I finally got my card back but sat blocking outgoing traffic until the ducks were out of the road. My guess is that they had approved of the new landscaping as an appropriate neighborhood to build a house. I wish I could tell them that the city park across the street next to the river might be a better choice but ... the landscaping is nice.

"Take the money (they are not paying faculty) and landscape" is the motto of this school.
